Cody Bradbury Third in WORCS Pro SXS Championship
Linkon Leaverton Clinches Youth 700 SXS Championship

Nuevo, CA (10/28/2016) - Team Bradco’s Cody Bradbury’s sixth-place finish handed him third in points in the SXS Pro race during the WORCS Off Road Series season finale at Buffalo Bills Resort and Casino in Primm, NV. He miraculously made the start of the Pro race after a hard crash during the SXS Pro Unlimited event.

In the Unlimited race, Bradbury climbed through the field and was challenging for the lead when he went off course. He flipped end over end and was knocked unconscious before taking a trip to the hospital.

“I didn’t get the best start, but I was able to get past some people and move up behind the leader,” said Bradbury. “I put a pass on the leader and I ended up off in the bushes. From there I went end over end. I was knocked out for a few minutes. They took me to the hospital, did a CT scan and everything came back OK. I remember everything up until I hit the second time. That was a hard hit and it knocked me out. I woke up in the pits. I have to give it up to Holz. He builds pretty tough stuff. That was a gnarly hit and the cage is still straight. To walk away with no broken bones is nice.”

Bradbury arrived back at the race with just 15 minutes to spare for the start of the Pro race. He finished sixth and nabbed third in the championship with one victory and a runner-up finish this season.

“I got back at 3:30 and the race started at 3:45, so I put my shoes on over my hospital socks,” said Bradbury. “I went out to stay in the hunt for the podium in points. I got third in points and I’m glad. The season was good. We had a couple of things that happened in the last couple rounds that kept me out of the championship lead, but I made up some ground this year and I learned a lot. I have some more help so next year is going to be quite a bit different than this year. I’ll be back full time in WORCS, and I’m going to dabble a little bit in Best in the Desert.”

Linkon Leaverton finished fifth in the SXS 700 Youth Production after he had a mechanical issue while leading. Leaverton clinched the championship with seven wins on the season. He finished second in the adult SXS 700 Production and was second in the championship.

“The Arctic Cat was working great,” said Leaverton. “I got second in adult 700 and won the championship. I had a lot of fun in the Arctic Cat this year.”

Team Bradco will return to WORCS competition next season. The first race is scheduled for January 20-22 in Primm, NV.
